1. Platform Role

The Maritime Bidding Network platform allows users to upload and exchange documentation associated with maritime procurement and contract execution.

  • parts and labor conditions
  • other technical or commercial documentation

These materials are submitted by platform users and may be visible to contracting parties involved in procurement workflows.

MBN does not review, verify, or validate the intellectual property status of uploaded materials.

Users are solely responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to upload and share materials through the Platform.

2. Copyright Infringement Policy

MBN will respond to notices alleging copyright infringement in accordance with applicable law.

Where a valid copyright complaint is received, MBN may take actions including:

  • removing or disabling access to allegedly infringing materials
  • notifying the user responsible for the uploaded content
  • investigating repeated infringement activity
  • suspending or terminating accounts where appropriate

MBN reserves the right to take action where credible claims of infringement are identified.

3. Submitting a Copyright Infringement Notice

If you believe that copyrighted material has been uploaded to the Platform in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, you may submit a written notice containing the following information:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to allow MBN to locate the material on the Platform.
  • Your contact information, including full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative.
  • Incomplete notices may not be processed.

4. Submitting a Counter-Notification

If you believe that content you uploaded was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification.

A valid counter-notification must include:

  • Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal courts located in the United States.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, MBN may restore the material in accordance with applicable law.

5. Repeat Infringement

MBN maintains a policy for addressing repeat copyright infringement.

Users who repeatedly upload infringing materials may have their accounts:

  • suspended
  • restricted
  • permanently terminated

MBN reserves the right to determine what constitutes repeated infringement.

6. Limitation of Platform Liability

MBN operates as a digital platform that enables users to exchange documentation related to maritime procurement workflows.

MBN does not:

  • create the materials uploaded by users
  • verify the ownership of uploaded materials
  • guarantee that uploaded materials do not infringe intellectual property rights

Users remain responsible for ensuring that materials uploaded through the Platform comply with applicable intellectual property laws.
