How to register your service-provider organization
Registration is a guided, autosaving flow: sign up and confirm your details, build your profile (capability and engineering categories), assign your team's roles, keep Admin yourself or hand it to the owner, then submit for MBN officer review. Using MBN: the tendering flow from your seat
Tendering is live. From your service-provider dashboard, you can:

Tenders published by vessel organizations are emailed to you by MBN Tender Distribution when your engineering categories and service sub-regions match the published scope, so you don't scan a marketplace or chase down opportunities. You'll see scopes you're actually equipped to bid on, in the regions you operate in. No spam, no irrelevant routing.
Bid against defined scope.
Submit your bid through the platform. The scope you bid on is the scope the vessel published: same document, same parameters, no interpretation gap. Your bid lands on the tender record.
Participate in controlled clarifications.
Ask questions or request clarifications through the tender record, not separate email threads. Vessel responses are recorded against the tender. Your bid's context, what you understood and what you asked, is preserved.
Receive award decisions explicitly.
When the vessel awards, you're notified through the platform with the decision recorded. The award is attributable to a specific authority on the vessel side, dated, and tied to your specific bid. Unsuccessful bidders see the outcome with the same clarity.

If your estimates live in QuickBooks, you don't have to retype them into MBN. Connect your QuickBooks Online account once, and when you build a bid you can pull an estimate straight in, its line items, labour, and totals already filled, with the original PDF attached. It is the quote you already wrote, moved onto the governed record in a couple of clicks.
Connect once
From your company profile, connect QuickBooks Online. An admin or co-admin sets it up for the organization; after that, anyone on your team can import.
Import an estimate
While building a bid, choose a recent estimate (or invoice) from QuickBooks. MBN reads its structure: service items become your labour, products become priced parts lines with their SKU as the part number, and tax, currency, and total come across too.
The PDF comes with it
MBN also fetches the rendered PDF, the exact document QuickBooks emails your customers, and attaches it to your bid automatically. You review, fill any blanks, and submit.
Your books stay yours.
This is a governed connection, engineered so you never have to trade security for convenience:
- We never see your credentialsYou sign in on QuickBooks' own screens, never on MBN. Your QuickBooks username and password are entered with Intuit, not with us. MBN never receives them, and never stores them.
- Read-only, alwaysMBN can read the estimates you choose to import. It cannot write to, edit, or delete anything in your QuickBooks. The connection is one-way by design.
- Encrypted, and revocableMBN holds only a short-lived access token, encrypted at rest (AES-256), with the encryption key kept out of the database entirely. You can disconnect at any time, from MBN or from your QuickBooks, and access ends immediately.
- Through Intuit's official channelMBN is a registered Intuit developer app and connects through QuickBooks' official, approved integration flow, the same standard Intuit requires of every app on its platform.

Alongside open tenders, a vessel can send a Direct Request straight to one provider. If that's you, it's a warm, non-competitive request, a vessel that chose you by name, with the full scope on the record. You quote it with the same tools you'd use on any bid, agree, and schedule the work, all on one governed thread.

A Direct Request arrives in your dashboard with the full scope, requirements, and contact, the same detail as a tender, but it's yours alone, with no competing bids to outrun.

Upload your quote PDF and the AI reads it, pulling your priced lines and totals so the numbers come from your own document; or import an estimate straight from QuickBooks. Adjust anything, save a draft, and send. Need to sharpen your price later? Send a revised version, and every version is kept.
Agree, then schedule
When the vessel accepts, MBN creates a Maritime Service Agreement for you both to sign, then you set the service date right on the thread: one side proposes a date and time, the other confirms, and it drops straight onto your calendars. The whole exchange stays on one governed record.
Not on MBN yet? Still no problem
A vessel can send a Direct Request to a company that hasn't joined. You'll get a secure link to view it, quote it (AI document-reading and all), message on the thread, and, if you're chosen, sign the Maritime Service Agreement, all with no account, and you can join MBN whenever you're ready.
What arrives later: January 2027
Once tendering is grounded, MBN extends governance into post-award execution. Activating in January 2027:
- Workrooms — once a contract is awarded, the governed execution environment opens for both parties. For service providers: a record of every milestone you submitted and every acceptance you received, tracked under audit-grade records.
- Change Orders — formal scope, pricing, or timeline changes agreed after execution begins. Submitted, reviewed, and approved on the record under explicit authority, so the extra work you take on is documented, not a verbal 'just do it' you can't prove later.
- Warranty Room — the controlled environment for warranty claims on work you delivered. Opens only after formal commissioning acceptance, with deadlines tracked to a clear closure event, so a claim can't surface indefinitely against a job you completed.
- External Contract Governance (ECG) — governance for contracts that originated outside the MBN tender lifecycle. If you have a contract awarded outside MBN that both parties want governed, ECG gives it the same governed workroom structure. Part of the Governance License, no per-contract fee.
None of this is live yet. ECG specifically has eligibility requirements; the MBN team will share documentation closer to activation.
