Your parts library can become a living spares store: what's on board, what's running low, kept current just by telling MBN what you used or received. Here's how to turn it on and keep it effortless.
Track your spares on hand and keep the count current.
An approved vessel organization with at least one part in your Parts library.
About 5 minutes.
Reflects Inventory, live August 2026 (app v1.39).
Tracking is opt-in, so you track only what matters. On a part, set its unit (each, litres, a kit) and its on-hand count. Add a reorder level if you want it flagged when it runs low. Parts you don't set stay untracked.
Turning on tracking for a part: unit, on-hand count, and reorder level.
Each tracked part shows its on-hand count and a low-stock badge when it dips below the reorder level. You can adjust it by hand anytime, Received, Used, or Set to a count, and every adjustment is recorded.

The Inventory Assistant is a chat. Type what happened in plain words, “used four primary fuel filters,” “received a case of six impellers,” and it finds the parts in your library and proposes the change as a confirm card. Nothing is written until you press Confirm, and it never guesses: if a part is unclear, it asks.

Whether you adjusted by hand or through the assistant, each movement is stamped with who, when, how many, and why. Your on-hand count is always reconstructable from the ledger, the same governed record MBN keeps for everything else.

When parts run below their reorder level, turn them into a draft goods tender (or a Direct Request) in one click, grouped and ready to review. Your depleting spares feed straight back into the network you already use to buy them.

Your spares are now a living record. When you restock, that draft tender publishes like any other, and the delivery you receive updates your on-hand count automatically.
