Preferred invitations.

Sometimes a vessel wants you specifically. A Preferred Market invitation gives you first crack at a tender: here's how to respond.

Goal

Respond to a vessel's Preferred Market invitation.

Before you start

An invitation to a vessel's preferred round.

Time

About 2 minutes.

Version

Reflects app v1.5.9

01

You're invited

A vessel adds you to its preferred round when it publishes. You get an invitation on your dashboard with a 48-hour window to respond.

02

Accept or decline

Accept and you'll be able to bid privately once the window closes. Decline and the tender leaves your dashboard: other invited providers may still accept.

03

The window closes early if everyone responds

The 48-hour clock is a maximum. If every invited provider has responded, MBN resolves the round early rather than making anyone wait.

04

Then it's a private round

If you accepted, bidding opens privately to the providers who accepted, you quote just as you would on any tender, but without the open market alongside you.

What happens next

A preferred invitation is for registered providers. There's also a way a vessel brings in companies that aren't on MBN at all, being invited as a guest.
